About us: El
Aguizy international was founded in 1978, started its agriculture venture
in1982. And have since become a major influence on the Egyptian food industry.
El Aguizy mainly grows to export.
The operation can be broken down to three main integrated areas.
Growing operation extends from the preparation of the land for planting
up until the harvest and safe transport to the pack house.
The second part is the processing or the sorting and packing of the
produce and cooling it to reach its ideal temperature to be exported.
The third and final stage is the sale, which is coordinating the shipping
schedules with El Aguizy's supply programs to its customers all over the world. Many
European produce importers issue guidelines to growers to make sure they meet
the needs of consumers. We found that these guidelines could be made firmer by
making them specific to our company. Hence, we became the first agricultural
grower and exporter in Egypt to produce our own Agricultural Code of Practice.
In the words of our chairman Hussein El Aguizy: "We put our words into
writing and our writing into action." Today
consumers demand high quality, environmentally sound produce, at competitive
prices. We at Elaguizy have actively minimized the effect of our farming
practices on the environment. By using natural processes wherever possible, we
minimize the use of expensive manufactured chemicals, and pass these saving on
to our customers and the environment.
We have also applied EUREP-GAP to our farms, and working on being
